I became a pediatrician because pediatrics was my favorite rotation in medical school. I enjoyed working with children rather than adults. The pediatric doctors I worked with during residency were by far my favorite residents.

I am married to Dr. Bob Rotche who is an Oncologist. We have two children Adam and Lindsey. Adam is a teacher at Blacksburg High School and Lindsay is a full-time ski patrol and white-water rafting guide in New Mexico.

I enjoy many outdoor activities outside of NRV Peds. I like to hike, canoe, travel (domestic and abroad), garden, and participate in fitness classes at gym.

Most people do not know that I am first generation American. Both of my parents emigrated separately from Eastern Europe in the 1950s.
